Introducing Simon Merchant

Simon’s Tasmanian heritage can be traced back to his Great, Great Grandfather arriving in Hobart in 1847.

Simon began his professional career as an inaugural Real Estate Institute of Tasmania Scholarship Holder in 1989, before specialising in the brokerage of business sales and acquisitions.
Simon has seen Tasmania prosper through its development of major industries such as agriculture, aquaculture and foods, forestry and tourism; and also his participation in the trade development of new and emerging commodities over the last 20 years.

Throughout his career, Simon has helped many families create wealth through the purchase and sale of small and medium size enterprises, capturing market share by focusing on the delivery of quality Tasmanian products and services.
Simon’s professional network spans the private and public sectors throughout Tasmania.
Simon is married to Georgina. Together they are blessed with two beautiful children, Joseph and Eleanor.
